Deskripsi karya :

Yang Tze River Heritage: While the Yangtze River drives urban growth and national development, it also carries quieter narratives of labor, survival, and cultural continuity. The fishing boat persists, reminding us that modernity does not erase intimacy, but compresses it. Though powering one of the world’s largest economic belts, the river is also a living space shaped by small, everyday human actions like fishing, gathering, bonding, and passing on culture. These micro-interactions illustrate that sustainability is not only a matter of policy or infrastructure, but a personal, ethical responsibility.

Yangtze (长江): Modernity is often visualized through cities, speed, and infrastructure. By layering traditional handwritten Chinese calligraphy with contemporary digital typography, the river becomes a metaphor for continuity, absorbing transformation while maintaining its identity. Rather than positioning the contrasting tradition and modernity in opposition, the work proposes coexistence, where the Yangtze remains the foundation upon which modern life flows.
